I'm at Kingsey Church Christmas Fair all day today. Sorry to say that Orchard View Christmas Market was cancelled due to the bad weather forecast. Kingsey Church is a beautiful location and all the artists have worked tirelessly to produce such lovely work, just for you this Christmas. I'm @orchardviewfarm next weekend taking part in this very successful Christmas Market. I'll be showcasing my watercolour paintings, along with a selection of gicleé prints. My newest venture, launched @windmillartists last weekend, was a great success....my Artwork on Mugs, Coasters, Placemats, Fridge Magnets, & Tins - as well as my usual cards & bookmarks! Something to suit every budget and perfect as stocking fillers! Come along and browse with Xmas Spirit and hopefully find the perfect gift for your loved ones this year.
There's a great café with reviving drinks, snacks and meals too, to recharge your batteries after finishing your Christmas shopping spree. We'd love to see you there.

We've all beer beavering away to produce some amazing art & crafts to celebrate Xmas 2024, and to tickle your senses and gingle your purses! There is an amazing variety of skilled Craftwork items produced by our group, & if you haven't yet seen my newest venture products and a selection of my Artwork, I'll be there too.
There are drinks and pub grub for sale too, once you've exhausted your funds!! But there's something to suit all budgets.

Bledlow Christmas Art Fare is on this weekend at the Holy Trinity Church. The curators @artexhibitionists have worked tirelessly to produce an amazing display of creativity by local artists. A very busy weekend coming up for me, as I'm exhibition in two great events. 'The Exhibitionists' are hosting the Bledlow Christmas Art Fair starting this Friday through until Sunday ( Bledlow Holy Trinity Church HP27 9PD) and Bucks Art Society is holding their annual Autumn Exhibition in Wendover at the Memorial Hall (HP22 6HF) on this Saturday & Sunday. They will both be well worth visiting as the artists and crafters (at the Fair) have been tirelessly working to create great gifts for you to see and buy, with a real festive touch to help us get in the mood for Christmas. Refreshments are always available near by!

September.! Such a mixed bag this year. Much like my recent artwork. I love the variety of subjects, techniques and varied colour palettes that September has inspired in me. Rock on October! Autumnal colours galore to feast my eyes upon and to get creative once again. Let each month inspire you.

This still makes me laugh! The things we do for our art. I've recharged my batteries over the summer and am ready to breeze into the autumn. @thameartcrawl @HughendenValleyartexhibition @ bucksartsocietyexhibition @BledlowChristmasfair @OrchardViewFarmxmasfair A very busy time leading up to Xmas for me. But I'm totally up for it. I'll be advertising these events over the next couple of weeks, so keep your eyes peeled.
Hope to see you all there as I have some really exciting new artwork and oodles of Xmassy products that will be 'just what's needed' for that Xmas stocking or, even better, something special for your loved ones and friends - to suit every budget.

Do you love a challenge? I do. Whatever medium I use, there's always so much to think about: How can I get colour in darkness without it looking muddy and how dark can I go for effect? Where do I position the cycling family and the pedestrian to be a good focal point. How can I treat the backdrop so that it is not too dominant? What's the best palette to portray the mood that I'm looking for? I really like the greens and purples with steaks of colours to bring it to life. The shadows are purposely subtle! Perspective is strong too and I think it helps to pull the eye into the painting. I really enjoyed this challenge. Thanks to my nephew @rhystranter for permission to use his brilliant photographic image.

3 Firsts, 2 Seconds & 1 Highly commended. Not a bad afternoon's exhibition at the Long Crendon Autumn Show where I paint twice a month with a lovely group of people. I also won the trophy for the most points awarded for artwork. Thank you to all who voted for me. It means a great deal to me.

STOWE BAW/VIG Art Exhibition is on from today until Bank Holiday Monday. I am exhibiting my artwork in the Temple and an brio pleased with the display. There's a great selection of 2D & 3D artwork to see and to purchase at affordable prices and to adorn your home. Well that's the weirdest I've looked in years! All in aid of art photography. I've been struggling to take a photo of my glass Award. SO MANY REFLECTIONS! The only way was to totally wear black, even over my mouth! Glad you can't see the elastic band around my head to keep the jumper in place... Well here's my Award as the official winner from Art Focus e- magazine for 'Excellence for Vibrant Watercolour Artist of the year 2024' Wow! I'm elated!
Also STOWE National Trust is hosting an Art exhibition this Bank Holiday Weekend, and I will be exhibiting my art and my art products in the Temple. I'll be there all day Monday at least. So excited! I ordered a book of brown craft paper and some willow charcoal to have a go at the portrait done as a demo by @joharrisati with Hughenden Art Group @hughendenartgroup on Monday evening. I loved it and she's a great teacher and humerous with it. Thank you Jo.
